Tuesday, August 7 & 14, 6-9pm
We’ve all had a great t-shirt, tote bag, or tea towel idea– some of us even have spreadsheets filled with them! Now is your chance to turn that clever quip, band name, or original artwork into a piece of dynamite fashion! In this two-session workshop, participants will learn, observe, and practice the precision-based process of textile screen printing. Students must have either completed ICPC’s Intro to Screen Printing workshop or possess relevant experience. Price includes basic supplies and materials, but does not include printing textiles. Participants may bring up to five articles to print.
Instructor: Mrs Carla Bryant is an illustrator, print maker, and graphic artist based in Iowa City. Having worked in the screen printing industry for over twelve years, her experience provides a relaxed, no-frills teaching style, which allows her learners space to engage and be curious, as well as enjoy the creative process. Carla is a recent Iowa transplant, and a proud member of the Iowa City Press Co-op. She currently offers original artwork, limited edition prints, and screen-printed textiles available for purchase online and in select boutiques.
