Sunday, July 28, 12-5 pm
Registration Deadline: July 21

Adults 18+

Prerequisite: none

This type of collagraph printmaking brings together the worlds of found material, collage, drawing, and intaglio printing. Plates are made by adhering a mixture of materials and indenting details to create lines, texture and raised surfaces that will trap ink in the grooves and edges. Plates are then printed on intaglio presses. This afternoon workshop will be a fun time creating together with all materials included!

ICPC Instructor: Emily Jalinsky received a BFA in printmaking with an emphasis in intaglio etching and expanded media from the University of Kansas. She has taught both adult and children’s courses through the Spencer Art Museum, Manhattan Arts Center and the Iowa City Press Co-op. Her works on paper, assemblages, and installations address mindfulness in the studio process and in the viewer’s experience. She lives and works in Iowa City and is the Program Coordinator at the Iowa City Press Co-op at Public Space One.
