Katherine Simóne Reynolds


Katherine Simóne Reynolds is based out of Saint Louis, MO creating conceptual portrait and architectural photography. From receiving her B.A in Dance from Webster University, movement comes second nature and is thoroughly integrated into her practice. Her recent work is made to be literal, authentic, and emotional. Katherine has exhibited work within many spaces and institutions around Saint Louis, including the Pulitzer Arts Foundation, Fort Gondo Compound for the Arts, and The Luminary. Internationally she was hired to work for ImPulsTanz, the largest contemporary dance festival in Europe, as the event photographer where she worked on photographic and performance projects within the MUMOK, the Weltmuseum, and many other unique venues around Vienna, Austria.

Sept. 26, 2017: Youth workshop with G! World North Central Junior High and Liberty High School

Reynolds also developed a commissioned public art piece, Browns and Nudes, which is currently installed as an 11’x16’ banner on the north side of the Wesley Student Center building in downtown Iowa City and is viewable from the intersection of Market and Dubuque Streets.

Fall 2017 CAS programming is supported by grants from the Iowa Art Council, a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs, the National Endowment for the Arts, and Legacies for Iowa: A University of Iowa Museum of Art Collections-Sharing Project, Supported by the Matthew Bucksbaum Family.
