The Media Arts Co-op is PS1's newest program, a community-access, member-run resource for video, audio, and new media arts.

While we can't invite you in for an open house this spring, this virtual launch will introduce the diverse aesthetics, approaches, and ideas of some of the individuals who are collectively organizing the future shape of the MAC. We'll also invite you to get involved in this future!

Donna Bummer // Late Bloomer // 4 min // 2015
Donna directed this low-tech, music video of her husband, Tommy Santee Klaws. Tommy wrote the music, and Donna wrote the lyrics.

I co-produced and co-directed this short film directed toward healthcare professionals to illuminate the need for affirming care for LGBTQ individuals. We used real people, using interviews to illuminate the need and compel people to join in the work. www.jonnystax.com

As a videographer, I realized I wanted to create a piece of art that I could hold in my hand so I decided to team up with an array of creative individuals in my community and one artist from Paris, France to create my own magazine that highlights artistic work. I decided to call this work, LINT magazine. However, I knew I wanted to document the process of creating the work for this piece and I used this film as an opportunity to do so. jasonlevismith.com
