🎤 Open Call for Luthers is a moving image experiment grounded in improvisation and co-creation. The project invites participants to re-incarnate specific Vandross personas to explore their meanings and implications. Re-incarnations are recorded by a small camera crew and become a part of the project archive.

🎤 THE LUTHER PROJECT

🎤The Luther Project is a subset of a larger visual study focused on the life and work of vocalist Luther Vandross.

🎤The Luther Project does not purport to transparently document or represent any actual events or stories in the life of Vandross. Instead, it foregrounds sensibility and formal structure to deal with the dynamics that Vandross’s art and life lay bare.
