Learn everything you need to know to start making your own handmade paper!

In this class, participants will learn how to recycle their junk mail, paper scraps, and misprints into gorgeous handmade paper from start to finish. This will include how to use a mould and deckle as well as recycled paper pulp preparation. All participants will pull sheets of their own homemade paper that will be theirs to take home and use for their own art-making. Students will be introduced to artistic variations such as decklebox papermaking and wet collage techniques with plenty of time to experiment with the process alongside the instructor. All materials will be provided for this workshop, but participants are invited to bring any papers they’d like to recycle!

Open to ages 14+. This workshop is open to all levels of experience.

Registration deadline: May 8

*PS1 workshops are pay-what-you-can thanks to support from Hills Bank and individual donors. XXX is the true cost of the workshop, and we encourage participants to select the cost that they can afford, or pay a little extra to support future sliding-scale fees.
