Three local artists have joined forces to present a compelling body of artwork—all in one bold, unifying format: The SQUARE. This unique event is built on four equal sides:

• One square foot in size (12” x 12”)

  Andrea Gage, an Iowa City artist, discovered her creative joy while seeking moments of peace as a caregiver and mother of three. She now shares that passion by teaching workshops that explore a variety of mediums and subjects—from en plein air landscapes to abstraction—oRering creative expression to patients, caregivers, and the broader community.

  Paulette Buckingham, a Coralville-based artist, primarily focuses on nature as the central theme in her oil paintings. From an early age, she was encouraged to explore the outdoors, which fostered a deep appreciation for both the beauty of the natural world and the spiritual essence it conveys.

  Susanne Sudmeier, an artist based in the Amana Colonies, works in a variety of mediums. For this show, she presents oil paintings that focus primarily on still life and figurative subjects, rendered in a representational style. A former college art educator, Susanne has taught in Southern California and most recently at Kirkwood College.
