PS1 will host a range of literary and multidisciplinary presentations & performances across the afternoon and into the evening. These include a literary + sound performance by Annelyse Gelman and Ramin Roshandel, an avant-garde puppet show by Johanna Winters and Sarah Minor, a reading with Nora Lange, Sarah Anjum Bari, and E. Piz Struzzieri, and a closing performance by Sam Prekop. The Cloud House will feature an installation by Jason Snell as well as a film-in-progress screening by Auden Lincoln-Vogel. Using the mind to make music, this full-immersion installation is a generative experience for both artist and audience.

A collaborative performance of VEXATIONS—a speculative-poem exploration of the divide between self and other—by Iowa City-based interdisciplinary artists Annelyse Gelman and Ramin Roshandel, orchestrated live on stage at Public Space One.
4:00pm: HAAG CYKEL | Johanna Winters + Sarah Minor | PS1 Close House
A collaborative performance between former Grant Wood Fellow Johanna Winters and Iowa City interdisciplinary artist Sarah Minor, this live shadow theater performance explores contemporary themes of isolation, longing, landscape, and the gendered experience of aging.
4:30pm: Boneless: Work in Progress Screening | Auden Lincoln-Vogel | PS1 Cloud House
The first glance at a work-in-progress film by Auden Lincoln-Vogel about brothers, weird jobs, mysterious disappearances, and skateboarding.
5:30pm: As The Day Is Long Reading Series | Nora Lange + Sarah Anjum Bari + E. Pia Struzzieri | PS1 Close House
A trifecta of delightful literary readings featuring the voices of Two Dollar Radio’s Nora Lange, University of Iowa Nonfiction Writing Program MFA candidate Sarah Anjum Bari, and Iowa City’s own E. Pia Struzzieri.
7:00pm: Sam Prekop | PS1 Close House
Sam Prekop is a solo musician as well as a founding member of the Sea & Cake. For decades he’s been an integral artistic voice in Chicago music scenes, though his reach and influence are global. His solo work often explores ambient and electronic textures with modular synths, drum machines, and other electronics. His latest recording Open Close is another revelation; its atmospheres and melodies projecting hope and exuberance precisely when we needed it.
