Introduction to Papermaking
from $40.00

with Harper Folsom
Saturday Sept. 26, 1-4pm
IC Press Co-op + outdoors (225 N. Gilbert St)
sliding scale: $XX-XXX

In this papermaking workshop, participants will learn how paper is made and what tools and materials are involved in the process. Everyone will form multiple sheets in molds & deckles, and take home their own personalized paper. Plain cotton paper pulp will be provided, but participants are encouraged (but not required) to bring additional scraps of old paper, natural fibers, and possible inclusions to recycle into new paper. Flat items like flower petals and pieces of fabric are welcome to experiment with! Everyone will get their hands wet, learn something new, and leave with a stack of one-of-a-kind papers.

Open to ages 14+. This workshop is open to all levels of experience.

Registration deadline: September 21st

PS1 workshops are pay-what-you-can thanks to support from Hills Bank, a Johnson County Quality of Life Grant, and individual donors. $XXX is the true cost of the workshop for each participant. We encourage participants to select the cost that they can afford (including free), or pay a little extra to support future sliding-scale fees.

If you are unsure about which fee to select, please reach out to workshops@publicspaceone.com
