with Emily Edwards
Sat. Oct. 17 & Sun. Oct. 18, 12-4pm
at the IC Press Co-op (225 N. Gilbert)
pay-what-you-can: $XX-$XXX
Learn how to screenprint on fabric! We'll use hand-drawn or cut stencils to create simple patterns and imagery for an edition of 2-color tea towels, using the photo emulsion process. Participants should feel free to bring any other desired fabric items to print on. The skills learned in this workshop can be extended and applied to printing on other substrates as well.
All supplies to print a set of 12 2-color tea towels are included. Guidelines to begin generating imagery suitable for this project will be shared in advance of the workshop.
Open to ages 14+.
Registration deadline: October 2nd
PS1 workshops are pay-what-you-can thanks to support from Hills Bank, a Johnson County Quality of Life Grant, and individual donors. $XXX is the true cost of the workshop for each participant. We encourage participants to select the cost that they can afford (including free), or pay a little extra to support future sliding-scale fees.
If you are unsure about which fee to select, please reach out to workshops@publicspaceone.com.
