Monoprint, often called the painterly print, is a print made by applying ink and stencils to a plexiglass plate and then transferring the image to a piece of paper. Alongside the basic intro techniques of additive and subtractive processes, where ink is added onto the matrix through painting or rolling, demonstrations using hand cut stencils, textured materials and strategic wiping away or painting in, will be shown. This workshop is open to the beginner and the advanced level printmaker alike! It can also be repeated multiple times to develop a series of work.

Open to ages 18+.

PS1 workshops are pay-what-you-can thanks to support from Hills Bank, a Johnson County Quality of Life Grant, and individual donors. $130 is the true cost of the workshop for each participant. We encourage you to review the payment options and select the cost you can afford. If you have expendable income, please do not select the no-cost option and leave space for others. When you are able to pay on the higher end of the sliding scale, your payment helps others gain access who might have a more challenging financial situation.
