IC Press Co-op (225 N. Gilbert)
sliding scale: $30-$135
In this two session workshop, participants will learn everything they need to get started creating and toning cyanotypes at home with their own photographs. The first day of the class will cover the basics of making consistant cyanotype prints including preparing photo negatives, coating paper, and exposure test strips. The second session will cover how to bleach and tone cyanotypes, different materials that can be used, and creative applications of toning. Participants will leave with a set of colorful, toned cyanotypes of their own photographs along with the knowledge needed to continue experimenting with the process on their own.
Open to ages 18+.
Registration deadline: March 20
*PS1 workshops are pay-what-you-can thanks to support from Hills Bank and individual donors. $115 is the true cost of the workshop, and we encourage participants to select the cost that they can afford, or pay a little extra to support future sliding-scale fees.
