In this workshop, participants will generate new poetry through generative and editing writing exercises, alongside and through learning how to set metal type! Editing gets exciting when you have to write a poem letter-by-letter. By the end, students will have set a new original poem in metal type, and will have the opportunity to print a small edition of letterpress broadsides. By writing with metal, poets will gain new and exciting editing skills that consider language as material, literally.

Open to ages 14+.
